AT THE MUSEUM

The Crossing™ chronicles and celebrates the Black experience from homeland through the “crossing” to the Americas Experience how music, dance and faith served as their foundation when all else appeared lost.  Through vignettes, fluid dance, music and soul stirring performances, the audience will travel a marvelous historical course which celebrates, transcends and rejoices the role of music and dance through the eyes of the African Diaspora.

African Americans have maneuvered through historical challenges, achieving much and making contributions in all fields of endeavor. The Crossing™ illuminates their influence on music and dance, and chronicles their planting of "seeds of rhythm" in the collective album of America's musical art forms.
